Hi. It's called "Sarcasm" and "Humor". I see you attempted a little
"Cynicism" in your email but I believe you simply came off as immature and
misdirected. What you really ought to do is take all the negativity and
anger and funnel it into education and guidance. If you believe someone has
done something wrong *communicate* that to them. Find out if you simply
misunderstood them. People are so quick to jump to conclusions.
Those aren't the types of things that caused the NYC incident.
And no, I'm not the "idm list master" - I have no idea where you got that
from.
I'll take a gander and say it's most likely from my email address:

It is simply an attempt to foil those people who would send me spam. It
helps track down where the email originates from.
Also, the email you are replying to is over a week old and way out of
context by now.
In addition it was an attempt to *prevent* this poor unsuspecting soul from
being flamed after asking the IDM List their opinions about BOC which is
(albeit unknowingly) a very naive question to ask. This person might as well
have said "I'm new here - anyone like Aphex Twin or Autechre?". This is a
list DEDICATED to the discussion of intelligent dance music. Asking if
anyone on the IDM List likes BOC is almost redundant. If you like IDM you
like BOC.
